Versatile Link and V-pin are all names given to the proprietary fiber optic connector originally developed by HP, which is now owned by Broadcom. These patch cords are suitable for any networking and factory automation application. For Versatile Link data applications requiring riser or plenum flammability ratings or extended operating distances over 75 meters, Industrial Fiber Optics offers a standard product line of preterminated fiber optic patch cords. Made with OFS HCS® 200/230 µm fiber cable and connectors, and in lengths ranging from 1 to 200 meters, these standard patch cords are available either from stock or quickly made to order. Measured insertion loss data for each cable can be provided upon special request, as well as custom cable lengths.
The Versatile Link interface is a universal interface standard for 980/1000μm POF optical cables launched by Avago for low-speed industrial optical links.
Its types are: simplex, simplex locking, duplex and duplex locking, all adopt plug-in installation, the connector is made of flame-retardant VALOX UL94 V-0 material (UL file number E121562). The polyethylene shell outside the plastic optical cable complies with UL VW-1 flame-retardant specifications (UL file number E89328), and the link transmission distance is extended by 120 meters at 40 kBd
In addition to the original Avago plastic optical fiber, we can also use plastic optical fiber cables with various outer protective layers or other imported brand plastic optical fiber products such as Mitsubishi Eska and Toray Toray.
